One of my favorite places to eat when I visit Tallahassee has to be this little spot that offers quick, delicious food. The black bean empanadas and the Cuban sandwich are amazing. Among all the empanada options, be sure to order the black bean ones; it's hard to believe, but with the Gordo sauce, they are truly unmatched. Ask for extra Gordo sauce because everything you dip tastes heavenly. While it may not be the fanciest place, it's precisely what you would expect from a college town. The service is quick and usually provided by a college student. You go there for the cheap, tasty food and the nostalgic 90s atmosphere. If you're feeling adventurous, definitely try the Gordo Smash!

Food is always good. The "shicken Philly" with gordo sauce is amazing! A staple restaurant for all FSU students!

I already started digging in but want to commend the staff who served me well Made coconut mojitos (hard to find north of Miami) while I waited for my to go order and took the best care of me. Great place, where everyone's welcome, just like a Cuban family party.

Food is really good but service and take out has always been disorganized. Recently when an order got screwed up management made everything right.

Best CROQUETTAS outside of Miami. I dine in and take extra to-go! (And I don't like many in Miami!)

Nice spot with a decent menu and good prices. Food is good but not memorable. Living in Miami we get really incredible Cuban food so it does not compare. However if in the area this is a good option for good cheap eats and some nice daily specials including drinks. Seating is nice and service was good.

Hole in the wall? Yes. Worth it? Yes. What about the sauce? GET IT!!! When in Tally do as the students do. Go to Gordos. It's totally a dive but that is what makes it Gordos. The food is yummy, yet simple. My turkey cuban was delicious, but come on, put the pickles on it without me asking. It MAKES the sandwich. And the fries... get them. Just do it. Dip them in the sauce. You won't be sorry.
